I first picked up a camera for a very simple reason: I was travelling far from the people I loved and wanted to show them what I was seeing.
Over time, the camera became more than a bridge across distance. It taught me to slow down, look closely and notice the details that make a person, a ritual or a place particular. That habit of attention eventually drew me to anthropology, but photography remains its own language: a record of journeys, encounters and moments I did not want to lose.
Since Covid, I have also been playing with wildlife photography, with more or less success. See the wildlife photographs.
